First of all, I would like to apologize for NEVER being on here (at least not updating with a new short story). I decided to take a break from here and my Youtube channel after I lost my full-time job. (Don’t worry, I have a seasonal one to hold me over for a bit.)
I would also like to say that I have a few updates to tell y’all. A LOT of new things are coming in 2018!
- THIS BLOG – I love writing short stories and sharing them with you all. But, with my other writing projects, I seem to never have time to come up with amazing ideas and write them into a great story within two weeks time. So, starting Tuesday, January 9th, I’ll be posting a novel-long story on this blog. It’ll be completely free to read and give you an idea of my writing style. This story is a modern twist off of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. (NOT the Disney movies, though.) I will be posting the first two chapters on the 9th, the next two on the 23rd, and one chapter every other week after that until it is complete.
- YOUTUBE – I always wanted to have a great channel on YT that I could share my writing and self-publishing advice on. However, it was hard for me to keep a “professional look” that I thought I needed. So, starting January 2nd and continuing every other week after, I will be posting a video that shows how quirky and weird I am. It’ll still concern writing and everything connected to an author’s life. But it will be overflowing with my unique style and the love I have for all things nerdy. Even if you’re not a writer, I hope you check it out.
- SECRET MISSIONS – I am working on top-secret stuff that I shouldn’t even be sharing with you. (Seriously.) But starting sometime in . . . let’s say February, I’ll be starting a series of somethings to go along with my Blog and YouTube channels. Yes. Somethings. There is more than one. All I can say right now is that one something will be dedicated to authors, writers, editors, beta readers and more. The other something will be directed toward writers of all kinds, but have a great deal of ranting and nerdiness involved.
- MY NEXT BOOK SERIES – So this is the reason I’ve been behind on my blog and YouTube channel. I promise you, though, it’s worth it. Loading Life is one series I do plan to finish. But this series has nothing to do with that book. My next book and the series that ties into it is about hunters, vampires, witches, and so much more! As you can guess, it’s a Young Adult Fantasy. It’ll also be set in the modern world with so many serious and funny – or at least my type of funny – moments and memorable characters. I’ll be asking for beta readers soon enough. If you’re interested, just keep a lookout and an ear open for it.
And that’s pretty much it. For now at least.
Thank you all for staying with me and for being patient while I figure out not only what I want from my author career, but what I need to do in order to keep living with a roof over my head (without shoveling cow patties for a living. . . not that that’s entirely terrible or anything. . . hehe.)
I would love to look back within a year or two at this post and be able to say “Thank God I accomplished what I wanted. Let’s go on to something even better now!”
